We don’t believe in fashionably late. Our movers show up on the dot, not somewhere in the vague range of morning-ish. With a 2-hour (or less!) arrival window—and a guarantee to back it up—you’ll never be left hanging.

If we’re late? You get a discount. The longer you wait, the larger the discount becomes. That’s what we call Southern hospitality, with a punctual twist.

We treat your stuff like it’s our grandma’s fine china—carefully, lovingly, and with extra padding. But if something does go bump in the moving truck? We’ve got you covered.

Every move comes with up to $2,000 of coverage included, no extra fees or fine print.

While other movers offer the bare minimum (hello, 60 cents a pound?), we go the extra mile—and not just on the highway. So sit back, relax, and let us do the heavy lifting without breaking a thing—or the bank.

Opening your door to strangers? Nah, we don’t do that around here.

You’ll know exactly who’s showing up—and spoiler alert: they’re background-checked, fully trained pros with friendly faces and top-tier biceps.

A few days before your move, we’ll send you an intro email with their names, photos, and bios so you can say “hey y’all” before they ring the doorbell. It’s like a pre-move meet-and-greet, minus the awkward small talk. Because feeling safe and seen shouldn’t be a luxury—it should be part of the move.

Never. Getting surprised by hidden fees on move day? That’s the real horror story.

With us, you won’t find any sneaky charges hiding in the fine print. No fuel fees popping up outta nowhere. No extra charge because your couch is a little heavier than expected. Just honest, upfront rates from the get-go. We tell you exactly what it’s going to cost, and then—get this—that’s what it costs.

Because the only thing we’re moving is your stuff, not the goalposts.

Very, very highly recommended! The South Austin movers Claevon, Braven, Miguel, Zachry and Logan handled our recent move, and their positive attitudes and professionalism were deeply impressive. (This speaks well also of the management who chose to hire such upstanding individuals.) I have never had a move go so smoothly! They inspired such confidence that I left to get lunch, something I’d never before done during moves. If you want to minimize the stress of your moving experience, this is the company to put your trust in!

Frequently Asked Questions

At Einstein Moving Company in South Austin, our standard rate covers two movers and a fully equipped truck — no hidden fees, ever. Need more hands? Additional movers are available at our standard per-mover rate. Most moves within South Austin fall within our free service area; moves outside it include a transparent mileage fee based on drive time and distance. Your move price includes:

  • Two pro movers
  • Fully equipped truck (wraps, pads, dollies, tools)
  • Furniture disassembly & reassembly
  • Insurance coverage

We do everything in our power to make the moving process painless and as smooth as possible. If your move requires more than the minimum time requirement, we charge per mover in 15-minute increments — so you never pay for more time than you actually need!

Here’s something worth knowing: many South Austin movers quote a lower hourly rate, then add fuel surcharges, credit card fees, and supply charges at the end. Our rate is the whole cost — everything’s included up front, so the number you see is the number you pay.

We accept all major credit cards but DO NOT accept cash, checks, gold bars, or that fancy space money stuff they call bitcoin.

Companies that need to pay by check for an office move can contact our office ahead of time to confirm a check is acceptable.

At Einstein Moving Company, we’re a full-service moving company, which means we handle everything involved with your move on moving day. This includes everything from packing your belongings, loading them onto our moving trucks, and unloading your belongings to their rightful place in your new home or apartment.

Moving on average can take around 7 hours — but move times can vary wildly! Our minimum moving time is 2.5 hours with two movers and we can do plenty of smaller apartments in that time. On the other hand, we also do moves for homes and businesses that can stretch across an entire week.

The time it takes to move is dependent on the size of your move, the distance between your moving from and moving to locations, and whether or not more than one stop needs to be made.

The size of the moving truck you’ll need for your move will depend on the size of your home or apartment, the number of rooms, and the amount of stuff you have. Moving truck rental sites share rather unhelpful guidelines only based on the number of rooms a home or apartment has. However, these aren’t very helpful as it depends more on the square footage of the room and how much stuff you have inside. To more accurately determine the right size of truck you need for moving you’ll want to ask yourself the following questions:

  • How many rooms are you moving? How many of these are bedrooms with mattresses or rooms with large furniture?
  • If you’ve started packing, how many boxes are you moving?
  • How big is your furniture? Do you have any oversized furniture?
  • Do you have any fragile belongings that need special treatment?

Luckily at Einstein Moving Company, we take this stress off your plate! All of our trucks are 26-foot box trucks with large custom moving bodies installed on the chassis. These trucks can fit the contents equivalent to the average 1800 square foot home. During our quoting process, we ask you all the important questions about your move so we can accurately determine the right truck size (or number of trucks) needed for your move — get your free moving quote today!

A moving checklist is extremely helpful for a stress-free move. Our expert movers have created a Smart Move Checklist so you can be sure you’re not forgetting anything during the entire moving process.

A moving budget is important, but it shouldn’t be the reason your move has to be stressful! The best way to save money on a move is to do as much prep work as possible before your movers arrive and reduce the amount of small miscellaneous items to be moved. This means prepping furniture if possible (such as disassembling more complex furniture like bunk beds or workout equipment) and making sure most it is boxed up and ready to go.

If you have a bunch of floating small stuff such as lamps, hanging wall art, and garage items, you can save money on your move by taking a few trips in your own personal car and moving these items yourself.

It’s typically all the small miscellaneous stuff that takes movers the longest to move. When movers only have to focus on the larger items and boxes, the move will go much faster.

Here are some additional tips to save money on your next move with us:

  • Organize and remove junk so you’re not moving unnecessary items.
  • Pack as much as you can yourself.
  • Take advantage of free boxes.
